We offer several training events each year for our members and activist members.

OAJ is big on training, and more than 40,000 of our members participate in our training events each year. The majority of our national training events are geared towards OAJ’s activist members, but we also organise training for all of our members, especially at the local level.

Central level training is intended for shop stewards, OAJ’s advocacy association activists and OSH (occupational safety and health) representatives. Regional associations’ training events are usually mostly attended by the associations’ representatives, while local training is intended for all members.

OAJ’s training events promote advocacy in the education, training and research sector and the information, skills and attitudes that support union activities. The training enhances teachers’ solidarity and their knowledge of, for instance, the legal protection, responsibilities and obligations of teachers as well as salaries and wages.
