The Ethical Committee for the Teaching Profession is an independent national body which produces opinions on ethical issues in the education sector. The Ethical Committee promotes the discussion of teachers’ professional ethics.

Ethical Committee's term of office began at the beginning of 2024 and will last until the end of 2027.

The Ethical Committee has taken a stand on, for instance, assessments, bullying and children’s rights. The ethical guideline for teachers, the Comenius’ Oath, was drafted by the Ethical Committee.
